You are worthy to ask for the good things in life.
We’re hitting the half-year mark, can you believe it! This year is flying. I thought in prayer about what topic we could cover. Then it hit me. “Ask.” This word kept ringing in my head. So I thought what about “ask.” It took me on a deep level with Christ. Why don’t we ask God?
Father May I.
Father May I.
There are several things that came through. The things that stop us from asking God for more. The things that drive us to ask for more. The things that press us to ask for anything really.
This post for today is the general over thought. The scripture that came to mind was actually found across several books of the gospel. So I’ll post those findings here.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7 NKJV
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Luke 11:9 NKJV
The Door Unopened.
Sometimes the hardest discovery to accept is the endless opportunities that God can offer. endless opportunity that God can offer. If we limit ourselves to think we only have this or that option. Then we don’t have to fully rely on God to create something we would have never imagined.
The enemy loves to lie and make you think less of yourself. It blinds you from the door God would create for you to walk through.
The First Step.
Even after the opening the door God has for you. Hesitation can set in and break down your faith, trust, and overall reality to take that first step in a new direction. This tool is normally gifted with a simple name.
We all come to this place that we either run or face what causes us to fear. We can meet fear in people, places, things or ideas. For such a simple word can cause people to do out of character things. But like I said we can face or run from it.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
This may be one of the most overuses verses. However, the simple truth is released over and over. People can face fear. You can face fear. You are stronger than you think. You are braver than you believe.
People can face their deepest fears and come out extraordinary. It’s not necessarily them who does all the work. JESUS. Jesus empowers the believer to overcome. You can be a victor in this life.
Join us next week as we search through the scriptures for those who ask for more. You can see things shift and see them done. Call on Jesus.
Hello friends, I’m Marco. I’m an RN, & founder of Four Winds, a ministerial blog.
I have a heart for this generation to know who they are & whose they are. I also contend for revival to cover college campuses. As well as preach the word until every nation has heard. Sharing Jesus with all, & showing the love that was once shown me.
