Touch Of Heaven: Hillsong Worship

He will send those to run alongside you.

Welcome, Chasers!!

It feels weird to be in a routine again. We started off the year with kind of a bang. World travel has been a desire of my heart to reach those who may never know Jesus. The past two blog posts have related to this topic of going through the process. The journey.

In, In His Hands, we discussed our words having a life. If we are like the little engine that could, “I think I can.” Then we can. In, For The One, we learned our journey has a purpose. So in this topic today we will continue with a story of friendship.

We will be reading through Mark 2:1-12. To honor your time we will be paraphrasing. We encourage you to read these passages for yourself that you may receive your own personal wisdom and revelation.

“Immediately many gathered together so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Point 1. There are going to be a lot of people dreaming about something more. However, the difference between you and them is the drive when it gets hard. All these people knew Jesus could do great things. Enough people that the people themselves became a roadblock to others trying to meet this man named Jesus.

“Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Point 2. You’re going to fall. At some point, you’ll question why you’re even doing this. That’s when you need friends to help carry you. That looks different for each person and each situation. Maybe you just need to vent your worries. Maybe you need someone to talk you through your thoughts. Maybe you just need for someone to tell you they are for you.

These men knew the struggle of this man. They knew the answer was in this house. The bond they had to do what they did next. It shows how loyal and dedicated they were to speak life into this man’s healing.

“And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is a picture people use to illustrate how your breakthrough could be so close. Then for whatever reason, you’ve talked yourself into changing courses. Your potential for more is still there. Now someone else now has the opportunity to receive your blessing.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What if this man choose to give up? What if he had told the men to stop, that it wasn’t worth it? Was he right in the end?

“When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

“I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:5, 11-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

For him it was. He was healed. The in-between verses show how others reacted. Just like in the previous blogs. Not everyone is for you. Some will be vocal about it. Some will take action against you. Some will only be the chatter in the background. Don’t surround yourself with those people. Surround yourself with life speaking people who are interested in making your dreams come true.

It’s not easy to find these people. Sometimes you’ll be in seasons where you feel so alone and that you’re the only one. Keep moving forward! Maybe you’re going through a personal growth that only you can do. You’ll also never be able to see all who are fighting for you, they may never make themselves known. Keep moving forward.

Join us next week as we complete this journey. Does the journey ever stop? What if you’re ready to be done? Maybe you want to continue?

If you’ve found this enjoyable, please like, & share! If you’ve got a testimony of how these posts are transforming your life, we’d love to hear that too! Until next time, peace & blessings!!
