// How can I get a little bit closer? How can I, ’cause I’ve gotta know You more? How can I get a little bit closer to Your heart? //

That’s been our series. Christmas is over. New Years is less than a week away. We’ve had to reflect this season. It’s not about us. But it is so about us. Not in the conceded way. We’ve taken a moment to realize if we aren’t at 100% we will break. Then no one is being helped.

In Under the Weather, we had to stop rushing. Pause. Self evaluate. Are you ok? In Scrooging It Up, we had to stop bearing the problems out of our control. Pause. Set up boundaries. Are you ok? In Yet Again, we had to stop judging. Pause. Let go of our past. Are you ok?

As you can tell to help other we really have to be ok within ourselves. Get right with the Lord. Hear His voice and hit the reset button. At least to the best of our ability.

In Breakthrough, we went into detail more about words of the year. Take a minute and go read if you don’t remember or haven’t heard. This was the year of refuge. At the time I knew a bit about what that meant. 2017 left me with a bitter taste. I had to be in full faith with Christ that I knew the value of my “yes” to Him.

This year has been a whirlwind. Two jobs, a new church home, new physical home, maintaining old friendships, gaining new friendships. I’ve had to push myself to BREATHE. I’ve struggled to SMILE. I’ve learned to RELAX. There have been so many life events to make my head spin. BUT at the center was JESUS. He made a way!!

None of this year could have happened without Him being the center. I’ve seen more. Done more. Than I ever thought or experienced. Because I stayed faithful to persistence. And. NOT give up!

You may have needed this year to recoup. You may need to recoup this coming year. Maybe you’ve already recouped and now need to refocus. Without further a due, 2019 I declare will be the year…

    2019: Dreams

Back in November when I was doing the series on “Dream Giver,” I realized the Lord was placing hope inside me. To dream again. I’ve been in the season to heal. He has certainly restored. My cup truly runs over in His many blessings.

While I haven’t released certain plans regarding 2019, I can already tell He is in it to win it. For His glory. You see everything we do should be given in glory to the king! He has unlimited resources. Just ask! You’ve heard “be careful what you wish for, because you may just get it.” Well, let’s try this, “be intentional, and pray, because you may just receive it in more abundance.”

“I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,”

    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”

    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

    ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Well, what can I say? THANK YOU!

Some have been on this journey since the beginning. Some just started. For you, I do this. When I prayed about restarting this blog it was not easy. I had a prophetic word. But I still had no peace. It wasn’t until I fell on my face before the Lord and cried out, “for the one!” For the one, I do this. I’ve received testimonies throughout the year how the word of God is transforming lives. I’m just His faithful conduit. Use me O Lord. Here’s to 2018, the season of refuge is over!!

If you’ve found this enjoyable, please like, & share! If you’ve got a testimony of how these posts are transforming your life, we’d love to hear that too! Until next time, peace & blessings!!
