Love Casts Out Fear: Phil King

Your obedience activates your faith initiative.

Welcome, Chasers!!

We are so close to the end of this month. Halloween is less than a week away. Many Christians have different views on this holiday. However, one thing remains true. People seem to be more anxious and fearful than other months. Why? Our culture has set a standard for everything that goes bump in the night. This holiday calls out all those who hide in the shadows. Physically and spiritually.

Speaking of which, if you’d like to catch up before pressing through this final post in our Panic Room Series, go to the links followed. (Doubting Dilemma, Haunted Hallucinations, & Another Anxiety)

We’ve talked about many topics in which direction to move. Like how doubt can stop us from choosing to move forward. Our past can haunt take over our thoughts and can cloud our next move. We can be so anxious that we can’t even move at all. So what’s the root? The basis?

We give so much power to fear. Fear has a name. The enemy of Christ. In John 10:10 we come to know he comes to steal, kill, and destroy anything and everything in your life. Even our very words can empower him. Think about it. Have you ever said you can’t?

Think about kids, “I can’t read,” “I can’t talk,” ” I can’t run fast,” “I can’t write.” I can’t… I can’t… I can’t… It’s a scary thing to think about, how freely we can say that phrase even into adulthood. Now how did the enemy step in and get empowered? That’s strange!

Take a future Olympian runner. Giving glory to God for meeting the right people, training hard, self-discipline, etc. Let’s say the this Olympian leads “x” number of people to Christ because the spotlight is on them. They use the platform to honor God and it causes “x” number of people to seek this God the athlete speaks of. They then get saved changing the course of history for them and their family. Then their family impacts the next generation. So forth and so on. Because of a “yes” to doing hard things.

Now. Let’s say as a child this Olympian spoke over themselves “I can’t.” I can’t run fast. Then let that be their basis. Because they lived in that moment and was clouded by their present circumstances they could not see a future. A hope was taken. This child did not become an Olympian. Never got that opportunity to share about God the way they could have. History changed.

You see the enemy wants to steal your victorious life. But you don’t have to let him. You have the power to change history through your yes to Christ. John 10:10 also speaks of the solution to that John 10:10 problem. His name, JESUS.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus changes that hopelessness into a victorious truth. You CAN do this. Over the course of this series, you can interchange each core topic with fear. That’s why it’s a root. Doubt is caused by a fear of what’s to come. Clouded thoughts are caused by a fear of your past coming back to bite you. Being anxious is a basis of fear that can cause paralytic worry.

Even after all that. Jesus is better. He says you can do it. He believes in you. He trusts you. You don’t have to be held back by fear. Everyone has their seasons where it is scary to be doing something new. BUT! Don’t fear your new season.

Fear can be an indicator that your about to enter into a new season that will propel you into your victorious life. You do get a happily ever after. BUT it’s only through one man, His name Jesus! He paid the price by giving His life. For YOU. John 3:16.

Don’t worry if you’ve always felt fearful, He is more than able to redeem. Your fears don’t scare Him. Your doubts don’t change Him. He is not going to break because you’ve given Him your baggage. Jesus is better. He wants you to live free.

This wrap-up post is not so much about fear as much as hope. Jesus is hope. Say His name right now! Come on right where you are. I double dog dare you!

Say it again if you want, it makes your everything change from fear to hope.

Shewww, we have to get this. There is only one name that will make darkness flee. His name is more powerful than anything that is coming against you. Begin to speak to those things that go bump in the night.

Debt. JESUS!

Loneliness. JESUS!

Marriage troubles. JESUS!

Children. JESUS!

Medical diagnosis. JESUS!

To the voices. JESUS!

Are you getting this? Invite Jesus into the room. In your situation. He’s waiting for you to invite Him to guide you. Lead you. You can’t do this alone. If you feel like you don’t have the strength, call on a friend who is able to believe with you until you’re strengthened to believe for yourself.

You can do this.

You don’t have to be controlled by fear.

Use your words to empower Christ. Turn that I think I can, to I know I can! You are more powerful than you think. That’s the reason the enemy is after your victory. Because when you live victoriously, the enemy comes to the realization he has been defeated. JESUS has already won the battle. So start walking in it. Own it. It’s not arrogance. It’s confidence.

I truly pray you’re life is being transformed. From fear to faith. You can do this thing called life. It doesn’t have to control you. You have power. Join us next week as we enter into a new series. I’m so thankful to present to you.
