// You’re all I want. You’re all I’ve ever needed. You’re all I want. Help me know you are near. //
Draw Me Close: Michael W. Smith
God desires to be near to you.
New month, new series. This month we are going to be talking about drawing closer to the Lord. Drawing closer to Him, we can rise above our circumstances. So this month we are learning to…
One of the biggest misconceptions we have is that God is either too far to hear us or doesn’t care. But the reality it is, He loves you. We have to get this concept. God loves you.
God loves you.
That’s a truth that you have to get your mind wrapped around. Not only that but your heart must believe it too. You may be wondering what that even means.
Imagine this. You can say “I know George Washington.” But is that a true statement? How about “I know Maroon 5.” Do you really know them? Can you tell me their favorite color? How about their hopes or dreams? Something you can’t read in a book.
Can’t you? No? So then you “know of” these people. Now how about your mom or dad? Best friend? Can you tell me some personal information now? Sure, because you’ve spent time with them and know them. They, in turn, can tell about you. It’s a relationship.
If you are going through something. Do you go to strangers or someone you trust? It’s probably safe to say you’d want to not only tell but get advice from a trusted loved one. Now, why? Because you formed a relationship.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties.”
Psalms 139:23 NKJV
This is a prayer in the Psalms that we have to get ahold of. It’s a request that God would invade your life. That you’d begin a relationship to know each other on a deeper level.
We’re all going through something and if you haven’t you may have just been through something. It may be that you’re going to be going through something and the Lord is drawing your heart to know Him more. So you’re not afraid to call on Him.
Through this series, we are going to try to find Him in your circumstance. This post was made to make you think. To really grasp the reality you are not alone. In our last series, we realize it could simply be a change in perspective.
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
I John 5:14 NKJV
The truth is. He is listening. But His response may not always be what we want or are willing to accept.
We’ve maybe gone above your heads. But in the highs, we will have lows. Catch us next week as we dig lower in the valleys to find more truth.
If you’ve found this enjoyable, please like, & share! If you’ve got a testimony of how these posts are transforming your life, we’d love to hear that too! Until next time, peace & blessings!!
Hello friends, I’m Marco. I’m an RN, & founder of Four Winds, a ministerial blog.
I have a heart for this generation to know who they are & whose they are. I also contend for revival to cover college campuses. As well as preach the word until every nation has heard. Sharing Jesus with all, & showing the love that was once shown me.
